Mrs. David McDowall died at her home in Woonsocket, South Dakota, a few days ago at the age of 88, after a prolonged illness. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wier. Early settlers in northern Tama county, near Traer, and was married to Mr. McDowall around fifty ago. After farming here a few years they moved to South Dakota and lived at Woonsocket, S. D. since. Mr. McDowall died-several years ago. Two sons and three daughters survive. Dr. McDowall, of Gladbrook, Iowa is a son.
