WOONSOCKET, Feb 17
Burial services for Mrs. Karolina Kludt were held here Monday afternoon at Eventide Cemetery following rites at the Noble and Son Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.
Active pallbearers were Norman Shelby, Martin Schaefer, Robert Shoemaker, Arthur Stahlecker, Henry Hafner, and Henry Clemenson, all of Mitchell and honorary pallbearers were all grandsons; Billy Hansen, Ruben Kludt, Eddie Kludt, Robert Kludt, Willard Kludt and Elmer Kludt.
Mrs. Kludt was born Nov. 4 1867 and died Feb 11 at the age of 81 years, three months and seven days. She came to America from Odessa, Russia with her parents at the age of nine. They settled near Tripp. She married Gotthilf Kludt Dec 1, 1886 and to this union were born 12 children: Edward, Huron; Robert, Alpena; Otto South Carolina; Erwin, Kansas; Herbert, Wessington; August, Sioux Falls; Raymond, Artesian; Paulina Jensen, Mitchell; Magdalena Hansen, Woonsocket; Helena, Woonsocket and Emma Reinschmidt of Iowa. One son died in infancy. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1932. Also surviving are three brothers, one sister, 42 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
For the past five years she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jensen at Mitchell.
