"Lena Sophie Ketcham, daughter of the late John and Anna Eckstein Door, was born at Jeffriesburg, Missouri, on Janaury 16, 1890 and departed this life at Sunset Nursing Home, Union, Missouri, on Monday, October 24, 1977; having reached the age of 87 years, nine months and nine days.
She was united with the Christian faith and was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Jeffriesburg, Missouri, many years ago.
She leaves to survive: two sons, John Figone of Sullivan, Missouri, Sid Armistead of St. Clair, Missouri; three daughters, Josephine Pulford of Moline, Illinois, Helen Baker of St. Clair, Missouri, Mary Mellinger of Chatham, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, daughters-in-law; two sisters, Edith Schmuke of Sullivan, Missouri, Katie Fowler of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Eddie Door of Springfield, Illinois; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; neices, nephews; other relatives and a great host of friends.
Mrs. Ketchum spent most of her life in and around the St. Clair and Stanton area. She enjoyed growing flowers and always had a display of beautiful flowers in her yard and garden for people to enjoy. A kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister and a loyal friend to many, she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 27, at 10 a.m. at Casey-Lenox Chapel, St. Clair, Missouri. Reverend Fred Burnett officiating. Interment was in Stanton Cemetery Stanton, Missouri."
