Viola Browning Hite Dell in 1947. He was a very dear man. I believe he was born in Kentucky at the Pleasant Hill Shaker Harrodsburg KY. First Taylor Cemetery Chief, J. W. Dell, Dies James W. Dell, first superintendent of Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Administration Center at Bay Pines, Fla. He was 91. Dell, a native of Henry County, Ky., also had been a superintendent of national cemeteries in Nebraska and
Texas. Dell served as a pallbearer at Arlington National Cemetery for the Unknown Soldier of World War I on Nov. 11, 1921. He served for 32 years in the Army, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a Spanish-American War veteran. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Luther S. Wetherby, St. Petersburg, Fla., and a stepson, C. W. Wesley, Klamath Falls, Ore. The funeral was Tuesday at St. Petersburg. Graveside services were Wednesday at St. Augustine (Fla.)
