She was the daughter of James T. Armstrong and Matilda P. Green Armstrong. On December 16, 1885 as N.P. Armstrong, she married S.K. Radford at Taylor, Texas. They were the parents of Mary Lovell Radford (1890-1966) and Sophie Radford Sandow (1894-1969).
