Thelma Ann Reece Hiatt Cranfill, 99, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at the Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, LaFontaine, IN.

She was born May 29, 1910, in Matthews to William Edward and Bessie Lucinda Carroll Reece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cranfill.

Survivors include three sons by her first husband John Everett Hiatt, Chester (Carol) Hiatt, of Spokane Valley, WA; Norman (Alison) Hiatt, of Tucson, AZ; and John (Mona) Hiatt, of Wabash; a sister, Pauline Thompson, of Goshen; 15 grandchildren, Margaret Matucci, Louise Walker, Elizabeth Phillips, Amy Macdonald, Daniel Hiatt, Julie Guiterez, Jerianne Kendall, Mark Hiatt, Cathy Hoover, Thomas Hiatt, Wesley Hiatt, Thelma Hightower, Pamela Adkins, John Hiatt Jr. and William Hiatt Sr.; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
