I was born Casper Wayne Lewis to James Rodney Lewis and Mary Gladys Shepherd in Piqua,Ohio,on May 14,1941.After the death of my mother in 1945,we were sent to an orphange. In late 1946,I was adopted by Russell and Velma Ashbaugh,and grew up in Grover Hill, Ohio.
After my tour of duty in the Navy, we moved to Indiana where we now reside. I worked for 34 years at Huntington Laboratories / EcoLab in Huntington retiring in 2006. I had worked part time for the Sheriff's Department. I am past commander of the VFW, member of the American Legion, the 40 & 8, and was Cheminot 5th district in Indiana, and AMVETS.
