Ms. Connie M. Woods. of Washburn, Arkansas, died Friday 07-23, 2010, at a Fort Smith hospital. Ms. Woods was 98 years, 2 months, and 15 days old. She was a member of the Washburn United Methodist Church and a Charter Member of the Greenwood Senior Citizens Center.
Ms. Wood was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Athel Woods; a granddaughter: Gina; two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a son: Roger Woods and his wife: Shirley of Washburn, Arkansas; two grandsons: Allen Woods, of Greenwood, Arkansas, and Brad Woods, of Washburn, Arkansas; a great-grandchild: Heather Woods, of Hackett, Arkansas; a brother: Dencie Rogers, of Greenwood, Arkansas; other relatives; and many good friends.
Funeral service was held on Monday, 07-26-2010, at McConnell Funeral Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas. Rev. J.M Rogers and Rev. Ronnie Rogers, officiated the services. She was laid to rest at Washburn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Halold R. Scharbor, Brandon Lowe, George Bell; her nephews: Eugene Rogers, Carl Rogers, Paul Rogers Ronald Cochran, Larry Cochran, and Charles Allen Woods.
Honorary pallbearers were member of the Greenwood Senior Citizens Center.
