Anna died in Springfield, at the home of her daughter, Mr. W.A. Rhodes. She was on a visit there and suffered a stroke of apoplexy. This was her second stroke.
She was married to J.C. Hartwig in 1875. He died six years ago. She was a resident of Harristown township for 40 years. She is survived by the following children: Charles and Arthur of Decatur, Russell and Willis of Harristown, Theodore Hartwig of Cherokee, Ia. and Mrs. Anna Plumlee of Evergreen, Col. Four children have died, three in infancy. Edward, one son, died in 1918.
