Edward C. Harwig died of pneumonia superinduced by influenza Saturday morning at the emergency hospital in Niantic. He was taken to the hospital last Monday having been ill for four days. He was 30 years old.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Hartwig. He was born Oct. 2, 1888 in Harristown and lived there all his life. He was married to Maude E. Taber of Harristown, Oct. 16, 1916. He was a member of the Harristown Methodist church.
Besides his wife and parents he leaves seven brothers and sisters. They are George W., Charles B., Albert T., Luther F., Arthur R., Willis F., Russell B., Mrs. Lydia McGeorge, Mrs. Clara Cross and Miss Anna M. Hartwig.
Funeral services will be Monday with burial in the Harristown cemetery.
