Aberdeen --- Mass of Christian burial for Leo Bosch, 81, of Aberdeen and formerly of Roscoe, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 409 Third Ave. S.E. The Rev. Christopher Hughes will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park with military rites by the Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post No. 24. Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
He died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.
Leo Bosch was born Nov. 9, 1919, to Peter and Mariann (Vetter) Bosch in Hague, N.D. At a young age he moved with his family to Wakpala. He later moved to Casselton, N.D., where he received his education. He entered the U.S. Army in 1941 and served during World War II until 1944, when he received his honorable discharge.
He married Ella Kirschenmann on Nov. 1, 1946, in Roscoe. They moved to Aberdeen, where he was a mechanic for Ripple and Cloud Buick Dealers and for Jerry Lust. He later owned and operated Leo's Auto Repair in Aberdeen for more than 15 years.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post No. 24 of Aberdeen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and music.
Survivors include his wife of Aberdeen; two sons, Jerry Bosch and Harvey Bosch, both of Aberdeen; five sisters, Phyllis Weson of New Brighton, Minn., Irene Sailer of Alexandria, Minn., Elaine Murrey of Colorado Springs, Colo., Agnes Zahn of Aberdeen and Pat Parrish of Pueblo, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Casketbearers will be David Zahn, Tracy Christensen, Eddie Fordham, Brent Christensen, Brad Hales and Matthew Bosch.
