A Funeral Mass for Maria Lira DeLeon, 77, of Richmond will be held at
2:00 P.M., Friday, July 3, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Lee Flores will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M., Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Maria was born on August 4, 1931 in Luling, Texas to Jorge and Paula (Hinojosa) Lira. She went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2009 at her home in Richmond.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Abelino DeLeon; parents, Jorge and Paula Lira; brothers, Marcelino Lira and Guadalupe Lira and sister, Amelia Ruedas.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Adela Leal and husband, Gilbert, Santos DeLeon, Juanita Cortez and husband, Felix, Abelina Cisneros and husband, Ramiro, Andrew DeLeon and wife, Sheila, Martin DeLeon and wife, Araceli and Rachel Garcia and husband, Jesus; sister, Natividad Acosta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with other family and friends.
