NOTE: Charles Albert's birth name was Cincinnatus Abernathy Manning, (named for his uncle Cincinnatus Abernathy Herrington) it was changed to 'Charles Albert' between 1910 & 1920. However in write ups in the paper he was still referred to a 'Nat'.
He was born in the Dead Lake/Red Hill Community of Vancleave MS to John & Georgianne Herrington Manning.

C.A. Manning dies Saturday.
Mr Charles Albert Manning, 69, died at his home in Picayune, Nov 4, at 2p.m. Mr Manning was employed as foreman at Goodyear Yellow Pine Company. He was born in Vancleave, Miss. and has lived in Picayune 23 years.
Mr. Manning is survived by his widow, Jona Jones Manning and three sons, J. W. Manning, Picayune, C.R. Manning and Frank W. Manning Bogalusa, LA, and one daughter, Mrs. A.L. Sardis(sic) Gulfport, 4 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sister, Mrs. Robert I. Bell, Bryant TX and Mrs. Sim Pell, Gulfport.
Funeral services were held at the Goodyear Baptist Church Sat Nov 5, at 3:15 p.m. with the Rev W.M. Clawson officiating.
Interment followed in Palestine Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Weston Lott, Richard Smith, Olan Harrison, Frank Dawsey, Joe Salter and Archie Dossett.
