BLYTHE, Ga. - Martha Jane Council Blizzard, 61, loving wife of Christopher Charles Blizzard, entered into rest Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services were held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Blythe Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Martha was a lifelong resident of Blythe and was an active member of the Blythe Baptist Church. She had a great love for children and animals. Martha will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Joseph and Lula Trowbridge Council; her brother, Andrew S. Council; and her sister, Barbara Ann Council. Survivors include her children, Angela Martin Lee, Alexander Shelby Martin, and Gordon Scott Martin, Sr.; five grandchildren, Gordon Scott Martin, Jr., Ashley Lee, Sarah Lee, Carolyn Lee and Chris Lee; and her three sisters, Peggy C. Jordan, Alice C. Reeves, and Rosalee C. Bertucci. Pallbearers were Victor Bertucci, Jr., Victor Bertucci, III, Jimmy Blizzard, Lee Cason, Carl Jordan, Tommy McGlohon, Larry Reeves, Sr., and Jeff Taylor.
