lifele sidon former official of that Village, died May 24 at the Suffolk Home, Yap- hank. Mr. Vaughn was born Oct. 14, 1868, in Sag Harbor, the son of Clother and Josephine North Vaughn. He Was Postmaster of Sag Harbor from 1915 to 1923, and had been tax collector, assessor, and Justice of the Peace. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge, and of the Sag Harbor Presbyterian Church. He married the former Dorothea L. Beyer, who died in I944. Surving are a sister, Mrs. Mabel Backlund of Sag Harbor, and a brother, the Rev. Raymond Vaughn of Southold. Masonic services were held Sunday evening, and the funeral service was held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Yardley and Williams Funeral Home, Sag Harbor, the Rev. Donald Crawford, former minister of the Sag Harbor Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
