OBITUARIES REV. JOHN R. VAUGHN The Rev. John Raymond Vaughn, 82. of Sag Harbor, died Oct 11 at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Le- land Booth, in Southold, where he had been making his home for 18 months. Rev. Vaughn was bom Feb. 24, 1881, in Sag Harbor, the son of Clother and Josephine North Vaughn. He was a retired Baptist minister. His wife, the former Marie Grace Couture, died in 1934. He is survived by four sons, Lloyd, William, John and Clother Vaughn, and a daughter, Mrs. Booth. A sister, Mrs. Mabel Backlund, also survives. Rev. Vaughn was a member of Wamponamon Lodge of Masons, which held a service Monday at the Yardley and Williams Funeral Home, Sag Harbor. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sag Harbor Presbyterian Church, the Rev. C. Roger Nelson and the Rev. Donald Crawford officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
