Our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on June 2, 2009 in the Philippines. He resided at 827 South Blair Street (340 East) in the Downtown district of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death.

Ted was born July 18, 1931 to Theodore L. Cannon, Sr. and Dorothy McClellan Cannon.

Graduated from East High School, where he was a member of the ROTC. Married Joyce Huntington. They had seven children; later divorced. Married Carol Evans; later divorced.

Employed by the Newspaper Agency Corp for many years. Graduated from U of U Law School in 1974. Employed in the City Prosecutor's and Attorney General's office before being elected Salt Lake County Attorney in 1978, where he served two terms.

Ted had an incredible intellect and a love for the outdoors. He was proud of his Scottish heritage, had a love for bagpipe music and was once a member of the Utah pipe band.

Survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Garn) Tollestrup; children, T. Lincoln (Rosie); Christopher H. (De); Alison (Craig) Graham; Elizabeth (Alan) Wayman; Diana May; Melissa (William) Lauro; stepchildren Debra, deceased (Kirk) Hansen; Mark Evans; Pamela Bond; Dan Evans. Also by two dear nieces, 37 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services to be held in the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Park Street (670 East) and 2nd Avenue (290 North) on July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
