She married J. W. Ward in 1906. He died January 28, 1954. She leaves children, Mrs. Nadine Gillooley, Mrs. Chresta Lockard, Mrs. Naomi Holliday, Ray, Elmer and Laverne, all of Murphysboro; and Leslie of Vandalia. She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Mrs. Ward was a member of the First Baptist church of Murphysboro. She was a member of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Royal Neighbors, War Mothers and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a vice president of the J. W.Ward Trucking Company.
Mrs. Ward died at the age of 79 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
