Funeral services were held in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Antoine "Mac" Arnaud, age 79, who passed away June 18, 2009 at his residence in Arnaudville. Interment followed in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Mr. Arnaud was a native of Arnaudville, where he lived most of his life. He was a veteran of the military, having proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korea and Vietnam conflicts. He retired from the U.S. Navy (LCDR) after twenty- seven years of service.

He was a farmer in Garland, Louisiana for twenty-one years. He was a member of the St. Landry Opelousas Chamber of Commerce for fourteen years, President of the National Board of Cajun French Music Association for two years, a real estate broker and owner of Arnaud Realty in Arnaudville for nine years, a member of the SLEID Board for one year, President of the Arnaudville Chamber of Commerce for one year, Louisiana Ethanol Board representing corn farmers for four years and a member of the Louisiana State Farm Bureau for two years. Mr. Arnaud was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville.

Survivors include two sons, two brothers, five sisters, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Angelle Arnaud,both natives of Arnaudville; three brothers, Allen Joseph Arnaud, Eldridge Joseph Arnaud, Clarence Arnaud; and two sisters, Aline Carson and Thelma Mavis Vige.
