Born in Grandin, Florida, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George L. Tucker, Mrs. Seigler had resided in this community practically all of her life. In 1917 she was united in marriage to Mr. R. Lee Seigler and to them ten children were born, all of whom survive. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death, a brother, Mr. Percy L. Tucker of Miami and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Lawson of St. Augustine.
The death of Mrs. Seigler came as a distinct shock to her many friends in this community, most of whom were not aware of her illness. Not being of robust health she could not withstand the ravages of pneumonia and she passed away even before her family realized her grave illness. Aways active in behalf of her family, she daily demonstrated a brave Christian spirit, endearing herself to those whom she so willingly and cheerfully served.
The services were attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends to pay a last tribute to a beloved friend and neighbor. Mr. A. M. Seigler, funeral director, of Mulberry was in charge.
Many friends from Melrose and Palatka attended the funeral, also the following: Mrs. Mattie G. Lawson and son, Wayne Green, of St. Augustine, Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Seigler of Tampa, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Seigler of Lakeland, Mr. A. M. Seigler of Mulberry, Mr. P. L. Tucker, of Miami, Mrs. Louisa Entenza of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Earl Thomas of Jacksonville.
