On November 21, 1924, he married Relia Ellen Olson in the Logan Temple. The daughter of James and Sarah DeGrey Olson, she was born January 31, 1907. They both attended elementary school in Millville and South Cache High School in Hyrum.
They spent their entire married life in Nibley.
George was a farmer and was also employed by Utah Power and Light Company and Amalgamated Sugar Company. He retired in 1968.
Retia was active in the Church, serving in Relief Society and Primary. She was also active in the Sunflower Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She and George served on the Old Folks Committee for several years.
George and Relia were the parents of six children: Betty A. Burr, Harold (deceased), Paul, Patricia A. Purser, Myrna A. Knowles, and Craig.
