Dell Brand Carr
Seventy-three year old Newton resident, Mrs. Dell Brand Carr's funeral was held Sunday, March 15, at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Harmon officiating. Interment took place in the Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr died at Newton Regional Hospital March 13, 1998 of cancer. The retired Killen's Chevrolet Company employee was a member of First Baptist Church, Church Triple-L Club, Ruth Sunday School Class and member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of the Newton Regional Hospital.
Her survivors include her husband, Roger L Carr, Sr. of Newton; one son - Roger L. Carr, Jr. of Columbia, MS; three grandchildren; one sister - Maurine Harris of St. Louis, Missouri; and two brothers - Troy Brand, Sr. and Johnny Brand, Sr., both of Hickory, MS; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were: John Brand, Charles Guyse, Bill Freeman, Jr., Tom Harrison, David Carr, Eddie Carr, Toney Ezell and James Brand.
Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
