SERVICES FOR ARTHUR BRESHEARS

Funeral services for Arthur Breshears, 77, were held at the Reser Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 PM on February 7, the Rev. W. O. Jackson officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Leonard Lane accompanied by Mrs. John Reser.

Interment was in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Breshears, Dale Breshears, Raymond Breshears, William King, Robert King, and Lee E King.

Isaac Arthur Breshears was born June 15, 1884 in Benton County, the son of William Carol and Victoria Breshears and passed away in Nevada, Feb. 4, 1950 at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 19 days.

Mr. Breshears spent his entire life in Benton County and on Dec. 25, 1901 he was united in marriage to Effie Jane Powell, and to this union 8 children were born all of whom survives. His wife preceded him in death in 1921.

Surviving are his children, Ila Breshears, Nevada; Louis Breshears of Grandview; Mrs., Eva King of Warsaw; Bill Breshears of California; Elvin Breshears of Warsaw; Leona Turpen of Canada, Ellis Breshears of California, and Mrs. Irene Lawson of Kansas City. Also, 6 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Edith Shinn of Fairfield, Melissa Henderson of Avery and Elsie Apton of Wheatland, and one brother, Delmar Breshears also of Wheatland; other relatives and a host of friends.

As a young man, Mr. Breshears professed Faith in God and attended the Cedar Grove Baptist Church when he and Mrs, Breshears lived in the Cedar Grove Community. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers.
