He was born on March 6, 1911, in Delta County. He married Opal McReynolds on Dec. 24, 1935, in Snyder. She died on Aug. 8, 1995.
He was a graduate of East Texas State Teachers College.
He taught agriculture at Lubbock High School and Wilson High School. He established the Robnett Farm in Lubbock. He was co-owner of Prater's Turkey Farms. He was a coach for the boys and girls basketball teams and was also a football coach in Commerce.
Survivors include a son, Nolan J. "Buzz" Robnett; a daughter, Willena Harry of Richardson; a brother, Hoyle of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
