Mrs. Aiken died Thursday morning at 7 o'clock at her home. She had been in declining health for three years. Her condition had been critical for four months.
Mrs. Aiken was the widow of Edward A. Aiken.
She was born and reared in Wake County, Olive Grove Community, the daughter of William David Coley and Angelina Cash Coley. She received her education in Wake County schools.
All of her life she had lived in the Olive Grove Community where for many years she has been a member of the Olive Grove Baptist Church.
On Feb. 6, 1889 she was married to Edward Alexander Aiken, who died Dec. 15, 1949. Surviving this union are three daughters, Mrs. J.L. Keith, Mrs. Carl Estes and Mrs Joe Beck, all of Northside; two sons, William Norman Aiken of Fuquay Springs, and Edward Franklin Aiken of Northside. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. T.A. Sherron of Northside and Mrs. Leroy Sherron of Fuquay Springs.
