Jeremy A. Roane, 31, of Seymour died unexpectedly Thursday evening, July 9, 2009 in Seymour.
Mr. Roane had attended Columbus East High School and had been employed by Penway as a welder. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed stock car racing and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Association. He was a Boy Scout and had served as a Scoutmaster.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Brother Morris Tindle officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Monday. In keeping with Jeremy's wishes, cremation is planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda K. Roane of Seymour; stepsons, Derik J. Bryant and Dustin A. Bryant of Seymour; stepdaughter, Amber N. Bryant of Seymour; mother, Belinda J. Roane (companion, James Cowan) of Columbus; father, Paul Roane of Seymour; sisters, Krystal Roane, Kayleigh Roane and Kathy (Chris) Pool, all of Columbus; grandfather, Allen Barr (companion, Millie) of Cicero; grandmother, Shirley (Edward) Prewitt of Westport; and seven nieces and nephews.
Mr. Roane was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Barr in 1999; and grandparents, Leede Lee Lair and Charles and Dorothy Lair Roane.
