Thomas Edward Jessop was the son of Thomas and Eliza Jane Humphreys Jessop. He grew up in the early days of Millville and was taught the integrity and hard work. He attended school in Millville and later worked with his father, who was a railroad contractor. He helped build the railroad into Washington, Oregon and parts of Idaho.

On December 30, 1891, he married Marion Holt. She was born September 7, 1871, in North Stratford, England, to Joseph and Sarah Astin Holt; and she came to Millville with her parents at the age of eleven. She attended school for only three days in Millville, as the children laughed at her English accent.

Thomas and Marion lived at first in a small home near her parents. In 1897, they bought a ranch in Blacksmith Fork Canyon where they operated a dairy and milked twenty-five cows. They traded the milk for cheese which they sold in Logan. They later sold the ranch and bought a dry farm in Pocatello Valley. In 1903, they moved to Thomas's father's home in Millville where they spent the remainder of their lives. They celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1941.

Their children are: Arlene (Budge Low), Verlo (Thelma Trolson), LeRoy (Jane Hughes), Gerald (Mae Cooper), Leone (Ellis Anderson), Edward (Fay Dawson) and Lavon.
