Wife - Francis Louisa /Cummings/
Parents - Thomas /JESSOP/ and Eliza Jane /HUMPHREYS/
I have recently photographed and posted every headstone in the cemetery and am now in the process of including photos and bios from Millville Memories, A history of Millville, Utah, From 1860 to 1990. I thought you might want to add this bio.

Joseph Albert Jessop was born in Millville, the son of Thomas and Eliza Jane Humphreys Jessop. As a young man, he worked with his father building railroads in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. On May 16, 1901, Joseph married Francis Wuisa Cummings, who was born September 19, 1879, to George Timothy and Frances Cecelia Weaver Cummings. She received her education in the old frame school house. The Jessops owned a dry farm in Pocatello Valley; and as harvest time approached, they would load their wagons with provisions and make the annual trek there by mule team, stopping overnight at Hampton Bridge. Work days were from 4:00 AM. until dark; and, after the grain was threshed and sacked, it had to be hauled to Portage or to Malad. Lou was kept busy cooking and caring for her large family. Many times she baked twelve loaves of bread twice a day. She and Joseph celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1951. They were the parents of: Joseph Lee (Maxine Wilson), George Thomas (Marion Rinks), Reed (Bertha Speth), Elmo (Aha Mason Jessop), David (Verla Monahan), Marlow (June Cooper), Raymer (Elma Checketts), Larayne (Reeder Karren) and Phebe (Oscar Maurer).
