LANDRUM, SC-- Mary Lucille Atkins Price, 94, of 224 Turner Barton Road, wife of the late Lewis D. Price, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. Price was born in Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Bunyon C. and Mary Grace Skinner Atkins. She was a homemaker and devoted member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 70 years.
Surviving are five daughters, Bobbie Jean Barton, Brenda Barton and JoAnne Gregory, all of Landrum, Judy Schultz of Inman, and Darlene Williams of Campobello; two sons, Melvin Price and Steve Price, both of Landrum; two half-brothers; one sister, Margie Howard of Landrum; three half-sisters; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Ann Henson and Grace Price; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Motlow Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Terry Rainey. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.
