She was a daughter to John and Mary (Brown) Bowers. She married twice and survived them both, In 1937, she married Gerald Leatherman, who died in 1960. In 1932, she married Robert Caywood, who died in 1965.
Surviving are a son, Gene (Wilma), St. Marys; a daughter, Evelyn (Pastor Kenneth) Whetstone, Celina; a brother, Donald (Gloria) Elida; two sisters, Helen Zimmerman, Delaware, and Lois (Jim) Parlette, Cridersville; nine
grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, John; four brothers, John Wesley, Dale, Robert and Homer; and four sisters, Sylvia Richardson, Marjorie Page, Thelma Bowers and Hazel Bowers.
She had formerly worked at the Westinghouse Corp., Lima, and retired after 33 years as an office employee from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Marys. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys and its Hannah circle, Order of Eastern Star Hawthorne Chapter 119 and the St. Marys Crochet Club, all in St. Marys. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and needle work.
Services are at the Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, with the Revs. Ed Bray and Kenneth Whetstone, officiating.
