PRICE - Emma F. Price, daughter of Eli and Eliza Mart, was born in Marion County, Iowa April 28, 1873, and passed away at Lucas County Memorial Hospital, July 18, 1970.
She was married to Charles S. Price, March 7, 1893.
To this union were born 13 children, 12 are living, Myrtle and Bessie of Chariton, Fred of Promise City, Earl, Charles, Glenn, Dorothy Langston and Ethel Thomas of Hemingford, Neb.; Mabel Lee of Menlo Park, Calif.; Floy Webster of Sacramento, Calif.; H. Keith of Rupert, Idaho; and Eva Chamberlin of Greeley, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Price, on December 16, 1945, one son, Kenneth J., on January 9, 1937, and a granddaughter, Bette Jeane Thomas, on March 6, 1931.
She is survived by two sisters, Ella Hawkins and Minnie Judd of Chariton; 23 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church of Russell.
She and her husband spent most of their lives around Russell, with the exception of a few years spent at Hemingford, Neb.
She and her daughter, Myrtle, had made their home in Chariton for the last five years.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R. Roland Ritter at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was made in the Russell Cemetery.
