TAYLORSVILLE - David Herman Bentley, 53, of 204 Seventh Street, NW, Taylorsville, died at 10 p.m. Friday in Alexander County Hospital.
He was born in Alexander County Jan. 22, 1919, to the late, Walter Bentley and Frances Walker Bentley. A textile employee, he was married to Annabelle Deal Bentley who survives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Delbert Roth will officiate.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Brenda Barnette of Taylorsville; two grandchildren; two brothers, Ray and James Bentley, both of Alexander County; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Deal of Alexander County and Mrs. Randall Key of Caldwell County.
The body will remain at Adams Funeral Home in Taylorsville where the family will receive from 7 until 9 p.m. today.
