Funeral services were held Aug. 18 at the First Baptist Church, Davis, for Mrs. Florence G. Bumgarner, 63, who died Aug. 16 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. Rev. W. Berry Norwood and Rev. Finis Steelman officiated. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Fox Funeral Home.
Born March 14, 1921 at Hennepin, she moved to Davis in 1940. She married Tom Bumgarner Dec. 2, 1940 in Countyline. She was a bookkeeper for Salter's Kerr McGee Oil Company.
Survivors are her husband, Tom, of the home; one mother, Mrs. Ruth Wells, of Davis; one daughter, Mrs. Jakie Dudley, Ardmore; one son, Scott Bumgarner, Sherman, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Dickerson and Mrs. Susie Drennan, both of Davis; two brothers, James Wells and Robert Wells, both of Moore; and two grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were John Bumgarner, Eddie Wells, Chuck Wells, Joe Dickerson, Wayne Drennan and Phil Drennan. Honorary pallbearers were Sherman Raper, D. O. Salter, Jimmy Salter, Don Jones, Leonard Webb, Willie Warren, Bob Bruce, Bill Roper and Tom Howell.
