Held In Davis Mon.
Funeral services for James Albert Wells, 62, Davis, who died in a Wynnewood
hospital Saturday, July 30, were conducted from the First Baptist church in
Davis at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Rev. Jim House and Reverend Antonson
officiating.
Interment was in the Greenhill cemetery at Davis with the Bahner Funeral
home in charge of arrangements.
Wells had operated a service station at Ratliff City for many years but
retired about two months ago because of ill health. He was born in Bastrop
county, Texas, on February 3, 1893.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wells, Davis; three sons, Edward Wells,
Davis; Robert Lee Wells, Oklahoma City; James Wells, San Francisco, Calif.;
three daughters, Mrs. Olive Dickerson, Joplin, Mo.; Mrs. Florence Bumgarner,
Davis, and Susie Drennan, Davis; three brothers, Barney Wells, Purcell;
Johnnie Wells and Charlie Wells, Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Stephens,
Davis, and Mrs. Nellie Aaron, Snyder, Okla., and seven grandchildren.
Pall bearers at the service were Bill Moore, Brodus Wingo, W. S. Greer,
Wesley Thompson, Pat Rawls and Leonard Dickerson.
