John B. Dailey, one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home in the northeast part of the county near the Dorsey church, Friday morning.
Mr. Daly [sic] was born in Boone county, Iowa, December 8, 1862.
He was married to Matilda Goodwin, January 2, 1892. To this union were born 11 children, seven of whom are living; they are Bernice, Mary, Jacob, William, Ray, James and Bernie and one grandson, Donald. Besides his wife and children he leaves three brothers, David of Boone, Iowa; Thomas and William, of Bristow, Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. J. K. Crawford, and Mrs. T. W. Crawford, of Lynch, Nebraska, and Mrs. Ira Reed of Weiser, Idaho.
The funeral services were held in the Dorsey church, Sunday, June 15, conducted by Rev. J. A. Hutchins, pastor of the Methodist church at O'Neill; burial was made in this cemetery at Inman.
