The funeral for Doris Vance Preston of Southeast Portland will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel in Gresham.
She died Tuesday of causes related to age in a Gresham care center. Mrs. Preston was 94.
Born Sept. 2, 1898, in Lincoln, Neb., she was raised and educated in Tremont, Utah. Her maiden name was Vance. She moved to the Pacific Northwest as a young woman and married Grover C. Preston on Feb. 26, 1920, in Vancouver, Wash.
Mrs. Preston had worked for a Gresham cannery for about six years. She retired during the early 1960s. Her husband died in 1968.
Survivors include her daughters Lucille Casper of Rexburg, Idaho, Myrta Potman of Medford and Donna Arvidson of Portland; brother, Clarence of Salt Lake City; and sister, Ruth King of Taft, Calif.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
