Frank Vernon Judd, 82, died Friday April 19, 1996, at his home.
He was born May 18, 1913, in Wanship, Utah to Frank Melvin and Sarah Edna Vernon Judd. On January 16, 1940, he married Velma E. Stephens in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church, Hoytsville 1st Ward and had served as Scout Master, president of Seventies, Stake clerk, home teacher, in the Sunday School presidency, as a temple worker, stake missionary, and a high priest. He served a mission with his wife in the Kentucky Louisville Mission from 1980 to 1982.
He graduated from North Summit High School in 1931 and took correspondence courses in diesel engineering, refrigeration and air conditioning. He loved farming and was a chemist at ideal Cement Co. He was a very hard worker and loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He lived the Scout oath his whole life and always thought of other people. He loved the song, "Have I Done Any Good in the World Today".
Surviving are his wife of Hoytsville; threes sons and two daughters, Val (Nancy) Judd, Austin Texas; Doyle (Linda) Judd, Sandy; Shanna (John) Adkins, Coalville; Frank (Ginny) Judd, St. Cloud, Florida; Pauline (Ezekiel) Sanches, Mesa, Arizona; 29 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Also, five brothers and four sisters: Gladys Wilde, Salt Lake City; Roy Judd, Coalville; Glen Judd, Ogden; Grant Judd, Coalville; Lois Stromberg, Layton; Kenneth Judd, Mt. Green; Dorothy Blonquist, Coalville, Rulon Judd, Coalville; and Margaret Gunnn, Riverdale.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at 1 p.m. in the Hoytsville Ward chapel. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary in Coalville Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, at the church, one hour prior. Interment Hoytsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Primary Childrens Hospital. The family would like to express their gratitude to Creekside Home Health Care.
