Jackson, OH – John G. Sherman, 88, of Jackson Rt. 5, died at 12:40 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth. The former Beaver resident was a retired farmer and a member of United Baptist Church. His wife, Sally, preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, Hobart of Jackson, Virgil of Minford and Willie of Relief, KY; two daughters, Mrs. Vesta Bailey of Portsmouth and Mrs. Gladys Davis of Jackson, and a brother Paris of Portsmouth. Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eisnaugle Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Beaver Union Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home Friday
