She married, later in life, Joseph Smith Bailey of Rupert, Idaho in the Salt Lake Temple on September 15, 1942. She helped him raise his first family and they had three children of her own. They moved to Florida in 1950 to help build the Church. After Joseph's death, she moved to Utah in 1971 to be near family members. She married David Moroni Brown on May 14, 1977.

She served in her church in every organization from nursery leader to Relief Society president wherever she lived. Her life's passion was her family and her church service. She loved to read the scriptures, church magazines, and gospel related books. She called her books her friends of learning.
