Claudia Barger Mosley, 90, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Village of Richardson. She was born March 10, 1919 in Alpine, TX to Claude Franklin and Nora Alice (Stevens) Barger. She attended public schools and was a graduate of Sul Ross University with a BA and MA. She was a Teacher in the English Department at the University of North Texas. She was married to Joseph Walton Mosley on June 4, 1937 in Mertzon, TX; he died April 9, 1951. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for visitation. Mrs. Mosley is survived by a daughter, Madeline Terry of Dallas and a son, Michael Joseph Mosley of Highland Village, TX; a sister, Myra Sue Lewis of San Angelo, TX; two grandshildren, Tracey Holman and Michael Mosley; and great-grandchildren Alex Kenneally and Jade Holman.
