Bernard L. Neville, 73, of Sterling died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999 in Sterling.
Memorial services will be held at 10 am. Friday, Aug. 27 at Chaney- Walters Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Paulison officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Neville was born on Aug. 18, 1926 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa to Elmer and Laureta (Crawford) Neville.On Nov. 27, 1981, he married Cornelia Berhost in Sterling.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and moved to Sterling in 1952.
He owned and operated his own business, Neville Construction Co. until he retired in 1993. He then became a ditchrider for Springdale and Pawnee Ditch Co. until 1996.
Mr. Neville was an active member of the Masonic Lodge No. 54, A.F.&A.M.; a lifetime member of the Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336; and the American Legion Post No. 20. He enjoyed working on auto mobiles and engines.He is survived by his wife, Cornelia, of Sterling; four sons, Howard Neville of Grand Lake, Harold Neville of Clarinda, Iowa, Ray Neville and wife Debbie of Sterling, Henry Neville and wife Michelle of Washington Terrace, Utah; three daughters, Connie Smith and husband Delbert of Fort Collins, Bonnie Lydick of Clarinda, Iowa, Becky Wright and husband John of Ogden, Utah; two stepdaughters, Lois Ortiz and husband Duane of Fort Collins, Yvonne Cleland of Carrolton, Texas; a brother, Walter Neville of Commerce City; a sister, Alice Hunter of Steamboat Springs; 22 grand children and four great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Eddy.
Memorials may be made to the Devonshire Activity Dept.
