WAPELLA - Mary Lou Mollet, 50, of Wapella died at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday (May 15 1995) at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington.

Born Aug. 1, 1939, in Marceline, Mo., to Linville and Eulah Still Blew, she married Leo Mollet on Aug. 10, 1957, in Chillicothe. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Robert and Thomas, both of Bloomington, Joseph of Norfolk, Va., and Timothy, at home; one daughter, Michelle M. Mollet, at home; one brother, Orville Blew of Cottage Hills; two sisters, Jo Ann Libolt of Peoria and Donna Ewigman of Peculiar, Mo.; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.

A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wapella, she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was a C.C.D. Teacher at the church.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at her church, the Rev. Robert Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Harrington-Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, with rosary at 8. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wapella.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Pallbearers will be Robert Blew (Mollet), Thomas Mollet, Joseph Mollet, Timothy Mollet, James Mollet and Paul Mollet.

Mary Lou (Blew) Mollet was the second of four daughters born to Linville Thomas Blew and Eulah Belle (Still) Blew (both deceased) of Marceline, Mo. She married Leo Emil Mollet of Wapella, Il., on 10 Aug., 1957 at the home of her sister Wilma Jean and her husband Leslie McLaughlin in Chillicothe, Illinois.

She raised 6 children, Robert, Victoria (deceased), Michelle, Thomas, Joseph and Timothy. She also has 6 grandchildren, 1 brother Orville Lee Blew (deceased), 3 sisters, Wilma Jean McLaughlin (deceased), Jo Ann and Donna.

Mary Lou survived the Tornado of 1968, 8 months pregnant with her son Joseph while herding her children to the basement to ride out the storm.

She owned a bar together with Leo Mollet called The Irish Circle in Wapella, and was an employee at the Wapella Tap for many years.
