Julia was married at age 15. She had 11 children. She ran a boarding house mostly of scandanavian immigrant Loggers in Eatonville, Washington between 1907 and 1912. She also cooked for the camp. The camp operation was owned and operated by her husband Chris. Chris was hurt badly in a train accident during a transport of logs between Eatonville and the Puget Sound. The family lost eveything and had to return to Nebraska. She became a Practical Nurse in later years in Callaway Nebraska.
