Zelma (Coffey) McKinney of Harriman died Sunday, August 10, 2003 at Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center after a lingering illness.
An expert seamstress, she had been manager of Fashion Fabric and Chandler's Fabric. She also worked in the fabric department at Wal-Mart for several years. For many years she was a faithful member of Riggs Chapel Baptist Church.
The family appreciates the loving care of the staff and administration at Harriman Care and Rehabilitation and also the kindness and help of Dr. Rodney McMillan.
McKinney was preceded in death by her parents, James Lee Coffey and Clatie Morgan Coffey and brothers Jack Coffey and Lowell Coffey.
Survivors are her loving husband, Paul McKinney; Sons, Ronald Joe McKinney and Gregory Willis McKinney; Granddaughters, Becky (George) Hall, Allison (Cory) Pilling, Dana (Tim) Walden and Lisa McKinney; three great-grand children;
Sisters, Allene Coffey, Lorene (Tommie) Brown, Violet (Bob) Sloan, Ruby (John) Stegall, Ann (Jim) Sloan and Helen Hegwood; Brothers, Clarence (Bonita)Coffey, Thurman (Lula) Coffey; Sisters-in-law, Sue Coffey and Juanita (Bill)Huskey; former daughter-in-law, Susan (William) Jobe; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, with the funeral services immediately following at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.
Family and friends will meet Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Kyker Funeral Home then travel to Riggs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m. with the Revs. Hascue Carter, Pete Scarbrough and Jim Disney officiating. Music will be provided by Henry Powell.
Pallbearers will be Fox Crabtree, Raymond Davis, Andy Worley, Mark Coffey, David Coffey and Andrew Coffey. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Riggs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mr. Fox Crabtree, 932 Riggs Chapel Road, Harriman, TN 37748.
