R. Bomberg, of Marion, died at a St. Paul hospital Tuesday morning, after submitting to the amputation of a foot. Mr. Bomberg had been suffering from an infection in a foot for a year or two. Two weeks ago he went to Rochester, Minn., and the Mayo doctors told him that his foot had to be amputated. He refused to submit to this and started for home but got only as far as St. Paul where he had to be taken to a hospital.
Deceased was a pioneer merchant of Griswold, where the firm of Detsch & Bomberg did a general merchandise business for several years. After the railroad came through he moved to Marion where he has been in business for over 15 years. He is survived by his widow and one daughter.
The funeral will take place Saturday, July 24, at 2 o’clock from the Marion Sc. Luth. Church and at 4 o’clock from the North LaMoure church.
Published in the Litchville Bulletin, Litchville, North Dakota, July 23, 1920.
