Myrtle Aton
Miss Myrtle Edith Aton, aged 81 years, 2 months and 27 days died Wednesday, Sept. 15 in her home on Mill St.

Services were conducted in the Pugh Funeral Home, Saturday, Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. K. Wright officiated, Stanley Parker was soloist, Mrs. James Carpenter accompanist. Nephews of the deceased were pallbearers.

Burial was in the IOOF cemetery, the Pugh Funeral Home in charge.

Myrtle Edith Aton, daughter of Benjamin F. and Florence A. Aton, was born in Greene county near Springfield, Mo., July 18, 1890 and passed away at her home in Golden City, Mo., Sept. 14, 1971 at the age of 81 years. She moved with her parents to a farm near Aurora, Mo. where they lived until they moved to Golden City in 1935. At an early age she united with the Methodist church in Aurora, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by one brother John Aton of Golden City and two sisters: Mrs. Alice O'Brien of Golden City and Mrs. Irene Greenfield of Independence, Mo. Also a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives, and friends.
