Mr. Stinson was born in Clinton, Ky. on September 12, 1894, the son of John and Minnie Stinson and spent his early life in that state. He served in World War I, being discharged from the service at Fort Riley, Kas. on January 31, 1919.
In Wheeler, Texas on October 29, 1927, he was married to Mrs. Minnie Brumley and the family moved to Missouri 44 years ago, having lived in Caruthersville for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Stinson; two sons, Glen Stinson of this city and Chester Stinson of St. Louis; two step-sons, Edward and Bill Brumley of Caruthersville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Margie Watkins, Caruthersville and five grandchildren.
