Private/Corporal, Company I, 7th Tennessee Cavalry, enlisted and mustered at Paducah, KY on 1/6/1865. At the time of enlistment he was a refugee resident of Snachwine, IL., born in Tishomingo Co, MS. Previously a member of Co E, 1st Alabama Cavalry from 6/1/1863 to 8/15/1864, and a prisoner of war in Richmond, VA from 8/6/1863 to 3/15/1864. He was discharged with the regiment when it disbanded at Nashville, TN on 8/9/1865.
