Elizabeth Rose Whitson Dies In Missouri; Hold Rites There

Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Whitson, 71, of Neosho, Mo., died in that city Monday, Apr. 7, 1997.

She was a sister of Theodore Lowe, of Cisne; and Alma Louise Bullard, of Rinard, and was a native of Wayne County.

Mrs. Whitson moved to Diamond, Mo., from Illinois in 1955 and moved to Neosho in September, 1995. She was a homemaker.

Rites In Missouri

Funeral rites were conducted Thursday morning (today) at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, with Rev. Jack Jones and Rev. Greg Snow officiating. Interment was in the Diamond, Mo. Cemetery.

She was born in Wayne County June 3, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Inez Lowe.

On Sept. 14, 1946, in Wayne County, she was married to George Owen Whitson. He passed away Dec. 23, 1992. Her parents and one son also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to that church's building fund.

The Survivors

Surviving are a son, . . .; three daughters, . . . ; three brothers, Gilbert Lowe, of Mt. Morris; Earl Lowe, of Ronan, Mont.; and Theodore Lowe, of Cisne; four sisters, Leila A. White, of Diamond, Mo.; Alma Louise Bullard, of Rinard; Wilma Sager, of Weatherford, Tex.; and Mary Alice Lowe, of Rochelle, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
