Mother Creed Gone.

Rebecca Sims was born November 1, 1814. Died at the home of her son in South Haven, August 4, 1902, aged 87 years, 9 months and 3 days.

She was married to John A. Creed, August 7, 1837. To this union six children were born. All of whom were raised to be grown. Four boys and two girls. Her husband died June 7, 1848, thus she lived in widow-hood for almost 54 years. All of which she lived with her son Flemon P. Creed. she was converted when quite young and united with the Primitive Baptist church, living a faithful devoted christian life till the Master bid her to come unto Himself. Three of the sons preceded her to the Spirit World. First dying in 1863, second in 1871 and third in 1872. There are 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granchildren.
